With the proliferation of new telephone companies offering service in the metro area, knowing who to contact at the serving telephone company becomes critical for the Public Safety Answering Points –also referred to as PSAPs or 9-1-1 Communication Centers.

 

The National Number Association (NENA) provides support of a 9-1-1 Company Identifier program, and acts as administrator for the company ID file content and updates.
